Booking and Reservation Terms
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A reservation is only confirmed when you receive written confirmation from Sakinah Game Lodge & Reserve or our authorized booking partners.
A minimum deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon check-in. We accept various payment methods as specified during the booking process.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations
- More than 14 days before arrival: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
- 7-14 days before arrival: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before arrival: No refund
- No-show: No refund
Payment Methods
We accept bank transfers, credit cards, and cash payments. All credit card transactions are subject to a 3% processing fee. International payments may incur additional bank charges.
Guest Responsibilities & Conduct
Guests are expected to:
- Respect other guests and staff at all times
- Follow all safety guidelines and instructions
- Maintain noise levels, especially during quiet hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Take care of lodge property and report any damages immediately
- Not bring illegal substances or weapons onto the property
- Supervise children at all times
- Respect wildlife and natural surroundings
We reserve the right to ask guests to leave without refund if they violate these terms or engage in disruptive behavior.
Liability & Disclaimers
Sakinah Game Lodge & Reserve is not liable for:
- Personal injury, illness, or death occurring during your stay
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Activities involving wildlife (game drives, walks, etc.)
- Weather conditions or natural disasters
- Travel delays or cancellations beyond our control
Guests participate in all activities at their own risk. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all visitors.
Accommodation Rules
Check-in time: 2:00 PM
Check-out time: 10:00 AM
Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to additional charges. Early check-in cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated when possible.
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. All accommodations are non-smoking. Pets are not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made.
Changes to Services or Prices
We reserve the right to modify our services, facilities, or pricing without prior notice. However, confirmed bookings will be honored at the agreed-upon rate. Major changes to services or facilities will be communicated to affected guests as soon as possible.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations when such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, government actions, or other emergencies.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from your stay or booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

By making a booking or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or make a booking.
